Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of family law cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery, research, and preparation of legal documents.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and more.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations, advocating passionately on their behalf.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of billable hours and client communications.
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies in line with the firm's high standards of service.
  • Stay updated on changes and developments in family law and the Texas Family Code.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law, with a strong focus on divorce, child custody, and spousal support cases.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Texas Family Code and its application in family law cases.
  • Proven experience in discovery management and legal document preparation.
  • Exceptional legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong mediation skills, with experience in mediation preparation and advocacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and provide empathetic, personalized service.
  • Proficient in billing and timekeeping to ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex cases with precision and discretion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in the legal industry.

Pay

$120,000 - $160,000 per year
