Family Case Manager

About the role

Provides in-home intervention to children and their families utilizing a skill-based, solution-focused model to help families adopt positive solutions to problems through the teaching of skills and behavioral techniques, accessing community resources and support. You’ll support families in their own homes—helping them build stronger relationships, develop parenting skills, and overcome challenges. Your guidance can keep families together and give children the foundation they deserve.

Responsibilities

• Providing in-home support and teaching practical skills to strengthen families.
• Connecting families with community resources such as schools, healthcare, and social services.
• Offering crisis intervention and guidance when needed.
• Building strong relationships with families and collaborating with professionals like teachers, doctors, and social workers.
• Developing service plans, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
• Other duties as assigned by a supervisor to meet the needs of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and 1 year of experience working with children and families.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call hours.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Skills

• Sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental, and emotional) situations encountered on the job.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments ranging from highly stressful and potentially aggressive to casual and leisurely, in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Ability to visit homes with substandard living conditions and domestic pets, and subject to outside weather conditions.

Pay

$20.50–$23.50/hr

Schedule

Full-Time. Includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours.
