Family Assistant

About the role

A large Catholic family in Fairfax County, VA, with many small children is seeking a full‑time Family Assistant to support a bustling household in Northern Virginia. The family is active in the Catholic community and lives close to a Catholic church.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the mother to keep the household running smoothly.
• Provide childcare and supervision for multiple young children.
• Assist with meals, activities, and daily routines.
• Perform daily household chores (no heavy cleaning required).
• Run occasional errands or organization tasks.
• Offer minor help with the children’s Catholic education (the children are not homeschooled).

Requirements

• Hardworking, calm, and positive when things get busy.
• College graduate (Newman Guide school preferred).
• Comfortable with young children and an active household.
• Valid driver’s license and confident driver.
• Willingness to learn the family’s routines and perform the job well.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience (character and fit are most important).

Pay

$30‑35 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Flexible start/end times within the workweek when possible. Start date: ASAP.
