Family Advocate - Full-Time

Position: Family Advocate
Department: Early Childhood Services
Location: Delancey Family & Childcare Center
Reports to: Family & Community Partnership Coordinator

About the role

The Family Advocate supports families in achieving their goals through a family-centered case management approach, managing family service files, assisting with child health screenings, and coordinating with the Family Services team.

Responsibilities

• Outreach and enrollment
• Managing caseloads
• Developing and tracking Family Partnership Agreements
• Providing trauma‑informed support
• Making community referrals and follow‑up
• Maintaining accurate records and entering data into tracking systems
• Ensuring compliance with regulations
• Coordinating meetings and facilitating workshops
• Supporting parent engagement
• Assisting with home visits, applications for educational programs, and translation needs
• Identifying, recruiting, and supporting families to meet enrollment targets
• Implementing trauma‑informed practices
• Coordinating services with community partners
• Participating in ongoing professional development
• Adhering to safety and reporting policies
• Home visits, effective communication, and participation in training

Requirements

• Family Development credential or related certification
• BA/BSW preferred
• Experience in social/human services and family advocacy
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families
• Knowledge of community organizations (preferred)
• Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office
• Flexibility to work varied hours
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Bilingual in English/Chinese or Spanish strongly preferred

Pay

$32,659.00 - $35,486.00 (benefits included)
