Fall Intern - Social Media and Marketing

About the role

This is an in-office, unpaid internship located in Baltimore, MD.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12–20 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platforms
  • Comfortable on camera and experienced with short-form video content creation and basic editing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong eye for detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinker with a proactive, self-starter mindset
  • Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal clearance, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; verification that the employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design software
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Buffer)
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
  • Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
  • Prior experience or coursework in marketing, healthcare communications, or community outreach
  • Genuine passion for disability services, mental health, or social impact work
