About the role
The Department of Fine & Performing Arts seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments in Theater for class teaching in Theater Appreciation, Acting: fundamentals, theory, and practice, and/or Playwriting & Analysis.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to nine (9) semester credit hours within the required discipline at on campus sites or online as dictated by student demand.
- Hold office hours.
- Absorb and assist students as needed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Theater Arts, or related field.
- Previous teaching Drama/Theater at the collegiate level.
- At least five years’ experience in theater teaching at the collegiate level.
Qualifications
- Ability to teach undergraduate college theater students.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the general public.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work under stress and with pressing timelines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Pay
Commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Temporary appointments for the Fall 2026 semester and/or any applicable Fall 2026 Sub-terms.
