About the role

The Department of Mathematics and Physics seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments in Physics On Campus. Successful applicants may teach up to six (6) semester credit hours within the required discipline online as dictated by program, course schedule, and student demand; hold office hours; and assist students as needed. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus.

Responsibilities

  • Teach up to six (6) semester credit hours within the required discipline online as dictated by program, course schedule, and student demand.
  • Hold office hours.
  • Absorb and assist students as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in the discipline, or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
  • Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the general public.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work under stress and with pressing timelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Temporary appointments for the Fall 2026 semester and/or any applicable Fall 2026 Sub-terms.
