About the role

As a Fall 2027 Mechanical Engineering Co‑op at Keurig Dr Pepper’s Spartanburg plant, you will be part of the team that specifies, selects, and optimizes the manufacturing technology used to produce billions of K‑Cups annually. You will enable recent and future product innovations, own high‑impact projects with guidance from experienced engineers, work both at a desk and in a lab, and travel to producing sites to ensure project success. This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Design or select equipment, or modify existing equipment.
  • Support the equipment governance system.
  • Lead project execution.
  • Participate in the development and execution of equipment acceptance testing.
  • Engage and partner on innovative projects within a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team environment.
  • Receive mentor support for professional development.
  • Participate in meet‑and‑greets and lunch‑and‑learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders.
  • Receive professional development training such as networking, professional skills development, and presenting.
  • Complete a project from start to finish and present the results and takeaways to your team, department, and senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate currently enrolled full‑time in an accredited college or university, majoring in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, written, and verbal abilities.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to vendors and additional Coffee Plants in the US and Canada.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Work authorization in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future (cannot sponsor F‑1 visa holders).

Pay

$31 per hour, paid bi‑weekly, plus a $5,000 sign‑on bonus paid within the first 30 days of employment.

Schedule

July 12 – December 3, 2027. Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. On‑site at Spartanburg, South Carolina.
