Fall 2026 R&D Co-op – Equipment Development

About the role

You will report to the Global F&B Applications– Food and Beverage Applications Technology Team and play a key role in supporting local regions with existing food & beverage equipment and designing new equipment to meet market needs. Under the guidance of your manager, you will be assigned to a project where you will partner with other engineers, technicians, and/or operations leaders to move projects forward. You will utilize a variety of plant equipment and assess data to make process recommendations. During your internship experience, you will complete training on safety, process, and equipment. You will have an opportunity to present your findings to a cross-functional leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Act as a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
• Support local regions with existing food & beverage equipment
• Design new equipment to meet market needs
• Partner with other engineers, technicians, and/or operations leaders to move projects forward
• Utilize a variety of plant equipment and assess data to make process recommendations
• Complete training on safety, process, and equipment
• Present findings to a cross-functional leadership team

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and present information clearly
• Demonstrated personal accountability and a history of strong academic or professional achievement
• Proficiency in advanced data analytics, with the ability to work with complex datasets
• Minimum GPA of 3.25 is required
• Experience working with Cryogenics and Industrial Gases is preferred, along with industrial experience in Food and Beverage
• Experience with heat transfer, data collection, and machine design is a plus

• 40 hours per week Co-op experience
