Fall 2026 Legal Intern, Product & Technology Counsel Support

About the role

This is a working role for a 3L who wants to be embedded with a product development team, not filing, not pouring coffee. You’ll draft and review contracts, maintain compliance documentation, and validate that how we handle PHI, PII, and other regulated data types actually meets the frameworks governing our clients: HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, and others as relevant.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts
• Maintain compliance documentation
• Validate data handling practices against regulatory frameworks
• Translate legal risks into actionable developer insights

Requirements

• 3L (at start of internship)
• 1–2 years of work experience
• Genuine interest in tech or privacy law
• Able to translate legal risk into language developers can act on
• Familiarity with HIPAA, CCPA, or GDPR (a plus)

Qualifications

• Law school
• Expected graduation date

Skills

• Understanding of data handling and regulatory frameworks
• Ability to communicate legal concepts to technical teams
• Attention to detail and accuracy in contract drafting
