About the role

This role will be responsible for The·Team's Great China Region’s athlete servicing, social media, and administrative work. This is an unpaid internship; candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Source and edit content for The·Team athletes’ social media posts.
  • Source and edit content for The·Team corporate social media posts.
  • Create and distribute weekly Weibo plans to athletes’ managers and The·Team PR.
  • Prepare monthly summary reports of athletes’ accounts and Wasserman Player Bio and Videos.
  • Use synergy sites to download content from English sites and upload videos to Chinese sites as part of The·Team client’s bio creation for Chinese pro leagues (CBA, NBL, WCBA, etc.).
  • Translate player bios from English to Chinese.
  • Maintain a strong servicing mentality to support The·Team Chinese athlete and team clients while in the USA.
  • Support offline event and content shooting execution in the USA.

Requirements

  • 3rd or 4th year undergraduate business students who are bilingual and passionate about sports.
  • Bilingual in both Mandarin (native) and English (native or fluent).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing, in Mandarin and English.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations with a "sleeves rolled up" attitude.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to create rapport with people of all demographics.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, confident, and mature in dealings with clients and issues.
  • High level of initiative; works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-management, including the ability to assess situations and quickly implement solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible under stressful, event-time circumstances.

Skills

  • Familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, and iMovie or related content editing software.
  • Familiarity with both Chinese and overseas social media platforms, including content downloading and post scheduling.
  • Creative mindset.
