This role will be responsible for THE TEAM's Great China Region’s athlete servicing, social media, and administrative work. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this unpaid internship.

Responsibilities

  • Chinese social media:
    • Source and edit content for THETEAM athletes’ social media posts
    • Source and edit content for THETEAM corporate social media posts
    • Create weekly Weibo plans for athletes’ managers and THETEAM PR
    • Prepare monthly summary reports of athletes’ accounts and Wasserman Player Bio and Videos
  • Use synergy site to download from English sites and upload videos to Chinese sites as part of THETEAM client’s bio creation for Chinese pro leagues (CBA, NBL, WCBA, etc.)
  • Translate player bios from English to Chinese
  • Athlete/team Hospitality & Event Support:
    • Service THETEAM Chinese athlete and team clients while in the USA
    • Support offline event and content shooting execution in the USA

Requirements

  • 3rd or 4th year undergraduate business students who are bilingual and passionate about sports
  • Bilingual in both Mandarin (native) and English (native or fluent)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing, in Mandarin and English
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations with a "sleeves rolled up" attitude
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to create rapport with people of all demographics
  • Trustworthy, reliable, confident, and mature in dealings with clients and issues
  • High level of initiative; works well independently and in a team environment
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-management, including the ability to assess situations and quickly implement solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and react flexibly under stressful, event-time circumstances

Skills

  • Familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, and iMovie or related content editing software
  • Familiarity with both Chinese and overseas social media platforms (e.g., content downloading, post scheduling)
  • Creative mindset
