Fall 2026 Co-op

About the role

The Co-op Program at Kokosing is designed to provide students with practical construction industry experience, the chance to work on value-added projects, connect with a mentor in their field of study, network with senior leaders, team members, and other co-ops, and so much more.

Responsibilities

• Work with Full Time construction professionals to gain guidance and expertise on various tasks.
• Be assigned specific project responsibilities and daily activities to experience the industry firsthand.
• Contribute directly to the completion of a quality project through structured work efforts.
• Receive support from a mentor for any questions or needs during the co-op period.
• Present on the culmination of their learning and experiences during the term at the Co-op Capstone Event.
• Meet senior level management and participate in fun, interactive activities showcasing various aspects of the construction and engineering industry.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or university.
• Enrolled in a degree program related to construction, engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong academic performance and a desire to pursue a career in the construction industry.
• Ability to commit to the Spring, Summer, or Fall semesters.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the fast-paced nature of construction projects.

Qualifications

• Passion for construction and a strong interest in the industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of construction techniques and processes.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
