About the role

The Co-op Program at Kokosing is designed to provide students with practical construction industry experience, the chance to work on value-added projects, connect with a mentor in their field of study, network with senior leaders, team members, and other co-ops, and so much more.

Responsibilities

• Work with Full Time construction professionals to gain guidance and share expertise on various tasks.
• Experience firsthand the completion of quality projects through specific project responsibilities and daily activities.
• Contribute directly to project completion while being assigned to a mentor for support.
• Present on the culmination of learning and experiences during the term at the Co-op Capstone Event.
• Work in a laborer role as part of the construction crew to gain field/trade experience.

Kokosing offers opportunities within all business units including Heavy Highway, Heavy Civil, Heavy Industrial, Project Management, Project Engineering, Safety Specialist, Surveying, Estimating, Marine Work, Project Design & Procurement, Business Development Support, Operations, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Heavy Equipment Repair, and various regions for field/trade experience. Kokosing accommodates geographical preferences and provides housing/stipend or mileage reimbursement for relocation based on distance from residence.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university.
• Enrolled in a related field of study such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Estimating, or similar.
• Strong academic performance.
• Passion for the construction industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
