About the Role
The Enrichment Instructor provides engaging, age-appropriate instruction to participants in grades K–6 through specialized enrichment activities. Instructors create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages scholars to develop new skills, explore their interests, build confidence, and engage in hands-on learning.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Omega CDC mission, core values, and the success of scholars.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children and youth.
- Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively with scholars of varying ages, abilities, and learning styles.
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Build positive relationships with scholars, families, staff, school personnel, and community partners.
- Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and effective communication.
- Provide instruction in an assigned enrichment subject to scholars in grades K–6.
- Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Provide hands-on learning experiences that encourage participation, creativity, skill development, and collaboration.
- Adapt instruction and activities to meet the needs and abilities of participating scholars.
- Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Manage classroom or activity-area routines and promote appropriate scholar behavior.
- Communicate effectively with program staff regarding scholar participation, progress, and program needs.
- Maintain appropriate care, supervision, and safety of scholars throughout instructional activities.
- Provide and/or use appropriate instructional materials and resources related to the assigned subject.
- Perform other duties related to the enrichment program as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge, skill, training, education, or experience in the assigned enrichment subject.
- Experience working with children or youth, preferably in a school, after-school, community, or youth-development setting.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate instructional activities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to pass required BCI/FBI background checks.
Pay
Up to $45 per hour as a contracted position. The instructor is responsible for providing or covering the cost of instructional materials and resources unless otherwise agreed upon with Omega CDC.
Schedule
Tuesday or Thursday from 3:00 PM – 5:15 PM based on the enrichment subject, program needs, and instructor availability. Specific days and hours will be established at the time of engagement.
