What you’ll do

  • Lead rapid response to quality concerns on the production floor.
  • Analyze quality deviations from quality standards within General Assembly to determine the solution elimination of faults to ensure the quality standards of the product and through it the factory indicators and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Kaizen, and Red X to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Launch, Production, Maintenance, Suppliers, etc.) to drive timely and sustainable issue resolution.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience: 5-7+ years of professional experience in automotive production and quality control concepts or a related field, including hands-on experience with general assembly product and processes. Proven experience with VDA standards is essential.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of automotive processes, products, and materials, including familiarity with assembly tools, equipment, and best practices in the general assembly processes. Strong understanding of VDA standards and their application in the automotive industry. Strong understanding of process auditing techniques and methodologies. Excellent writing skills for developing clear and comprehensive quality standards and procedures. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong self-responsibility, planning, and organizational skills, able to perform multi-tasks within set time frames.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems and mechanical assembly techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software. Production standard understanding and derivation of the effects on processes, equipment and product. Skills in web-based applications. Customer oriented skills, as well as attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Pay Transparency

  • This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
  • Initial Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
  • Internal Leveling Code: IC9
