About the role

The opportunity is to lead process improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness in various aspects of a client's operations. This role requires a strong background in Lean or Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and proficiency in process mapping tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze clients' current operating environments and identify areas for improvement
  • Facilitate discussions with leadership, engineers, analysts, or support staff to refine definitions of success and address current frustrations
  • Design data collection plans and facilitate workshops to communicate research and analysis using various methodologies like root cause analysis, SIPOC charts, fishbone diagrams, failure mode effect analyses, trend analysis, or future state models
  • Provide recommendations based on identified improvements and explain the expected quantitative or qualitative outcomes
  • Work with naval fleet and other government organizations to enhance cybersecurity, procurement, acquisition, and military readiness
  • Deepen skills in process improvement and project management

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading Lean or Six Sigma initiatives
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma process, methods, and tools
  • Knowledge of Theory of Constraints
  • Ability to manage complex executive and multi-organizational relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Nice to have: Experience in Navy organizations, deployment of LSS across government organizations, knowledge of Navy Acquisition, Logistics, IT, Navy Readiness, and Training Delivery, Top Secret clearance, Lean Six Sigma Certification
