Basic Function
Perform failure analysis on Brooks Instrument products to determine the root cause of customer returns, manufacturing issues, and field failures. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical assemblies using laboratory equipment, engineering documentation, and established test methods.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform failure analysis on customer returns, manufacturing rejects, and engineering samples.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical assemblies to determine root cause.
- Document findings, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Education And Experience
- Average 2+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial instrumentation, electronics, electromechanical products, or similar devices.
- Average associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Familiarity with precision instrumentation, flow and pressure control products, or comparable process equipment is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the capacity to learn engineering and business systems such as Teamcenter, Salesforce, and other company applications.
