Failure Analysis Lab Technician - (Day Shift M-F)
About the role
onsemi’s semiconductor fabrication facility in Hopewell Junction, NY is seeking a Failure Analysis Technician to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Drive Failure Analysis efforts for various aspects of compound semiconductor fab processes and resulting high power products.
- Support fab tool bring-up and process development by providing cross-sections and other Failure Analysis efforts.
- Prepare and image samples consisting of cleaved cross sections, polished cross sections, and FIB/SEM cross sections, as well as top-down SEM imaging.
Qualifications
- A.S. in Engineering Technology, Material Science or related field preferred.
- High school diploma with 3+ years of experience in a similar job function, minimum.
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of SEM, EDX, FIB, and AFM tools, preferred.
- Ability to multi-task on various projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay
Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
