About the role
The Division of Biomedical and Translational Sciences at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine invites applications for an Academic Biomedical Science Educator to teach Human Gross Anatomy. This is a 12-month position, tenure track. Doctorate degree required in anatomical sciences or closely related field. Applicants must have experience teaching human gross anatomy to health science professionals (MD, PA, PT, OT students). Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience teaching embryology and histology in the context of a human gross anatomy course. Previous experience with problem-based/active learning pedagogy in a health sciences context is desired.
Responsibilities
- Teach Human Gross Anatomy to health science professionals (MD, PA, PT, OT students).
- Teach embryology and histology in the context of a human gross anatomy course.
- Experience with problem-based/active learning pedagogy in a health sciences context is desired.
- Travel between sites may be required until the move is complete.
