About the role
STANFORD UNIVERSITY, Graduate School of Business, invites applications for tenure line faculty positions in accounting, beginning September 1, 2026, from candidates at all levels and stages of their careers who are interested in financial accounting, managerial accounting, tax, and other areas.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in accounting.
- Teach both MBA and PhD courses in accounting.
Requirements
- PhD (or expect to complete a PhD by September 1, 2027).
- Strong and active research record.

Pay
- Assistant Professor: $280,000 – $295,000
- Associate Professor: $300,000 – $330,000
- Full Professor: $405,000 – $465,000
The pay offered will be determined based on factors including experience and qualifications, departmental budget availability, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable roles.
