About the role
The Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics (CBT) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital invites applications for an Open Rank Faculty position in Chemical Biology. We seek creative applicants with bold vision and demonstrated excellence in research at the interface of Chemistry, Biology and Medicine. The faculty rank of candidates will be commensurate with their experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research at the intersection of Chemistry, Biology, and Medicine
- Develop and lead collaborative projects with other scientists and clinicians
- Advocate for the importance of translational research in pediatric oncology
- Teach and mentor students and junior faculty members
- Secure external funding through competitive grant proposals
Requirements
- PhD, MD, or MD-PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Chemical/Biological Engineering, or related academic disciplines
- Demonstrated excellence in research
- Ability to secure external funding
Qualifications
- Strong publication record
- Experience in interdisciplinary research
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
