Faculty Position (Open Rank) in Department of Health Outcomes and Behavior Moffitt Cancer Center

Summary

The faculty member will develop and maintain an active research program. The faculty member will support his/her research primarily through extramural grants and publish original research reports in peer-reviewed scientific journals. The faculty member will recruit and appropriately mentor research personnel within his/her research program. The faculty member will actively and collegially participate in the CCSG programs and the Moffitt Research Institute activities.

• Extensive retrospective data for real-world evidence studies and other research are available from an integrated repository of clinical, research, and patient-reported information and biospecimens from a large cohort of patients.

The Ideal Candidate

• Embraces team science and collaboration with faculty within and outside Moffitt.
• Demonstrates experience (or potential) as an independent researcher with extramurally funded research studies, presentations at national and international conferences, and a record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications.
• Demonstrates a commitment to engaging with diverse settings and populations.

Responsibilities

Maintain a productive, independent research program. Engage in educational (e.g., mentorship) and service activities within Moffitt and externally.

Credentials and Qualifications

• The successful candidate should have a PhD or equivalent degree with relevant research training and experience.
• Academic rank beyond Assistant Member will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• The position is tenure-earning.
• Salary and start-up funds are highly competitive.
