Faculty position, Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences - Pharmacogenomics and Drug Toxicity

About the role

The Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital invites applications for a faculty position within the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This newly created position is part of the departmental strategic plan to grow pharmacogenomic research at St. Jude within the next 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Focus on experimental modeling of drug toxicity
• Conduct mechanistic studies of drug-induced tissue damage
• Develop and/or apply functional genomics techniques to investigate drug toxicity traits

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology or a related discipline or clinical doctorate (PharmD, MD)
• Appropriate post-doctoral training

Qualifications

• Outstanding opportunities and support to collaborative research programs in pharmaceutical sciences, developmental therapeutics, cancer biology and genomics, infectious diseases, neurobiology, non-malignant hematology, cell therapy & immunology, late effects of cancer therapy, computational biology
• Interdisciplinary research programs and access to outstanding shared resources
• Opportunities to collaborate with a highly collegial group of scientists across the institution

Skills

• Strong research background in pharmacogenomics and drug toxicity
• Experience in functional genomics and experimental modeling
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
