Faculty Position - Department of Imaging Sciences
About the role
The Department of Imaging Sciences at SJCRH St Jude Children’s Research Hospital is launching a new department under the leadership of Elizabeth M. C. Hillman PhD. This department aims to build a community of technology innovators focused on developing and applying novel imaging methods to advance biomedical research and clinical care.
Responsibilities
- Push the boundaries of imaging and its applications in biomedical research or clinical care.
- Establish an independent lab at St Jude and build a world-class program.
- Utilize advanced instrumentation and fabrication, biomedical testing, sample preparation, data analytics, and productization and dissemination resources.
- Mentor and develop a transformative collaborative research program.
Requirements
- PhD or MD/PhD degree.
- Postdoctoral experience.
- Evidence of high-quality, impactful contributions to the imaging sciences field, including peer-reviewed publications and patents.
- Commitment to mentoring and developing a transformative collaborative research program.
Qualifications
- Highly collaborative and committed to impactful applications of research approaches.
- Strong motivation to drive the widespread adoption of innovative methods.
Skills
- Expertise in imaging and quantitative measurement methods.
- Experience with multi-omics technologies, structural and functional microscopy, multi-modal and meso-scale imaging, clinical imaging innovations, tracer / indicator development, and wearables.
- Ability to incorporate quantitative analysis and computational modeling.
