About the Role

The University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Radiology seeks one full-time ABR board certified/eligible radiologist with a primary interest in Neuroradiology. Academic rank, compensation, and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and scholarly productivity in one or more specialty areas in radiology.

This position will spend significant time on a busy neuroradiology service serving both inpatients and outpatients. Faculty will participate in all facets of neuroradiology, including post-graduate and medical school instruction and teaching in a hospital setting. Academic time will be dedicated to scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty or research expertise. Academic faculty are expected to be active in national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents, and faculty.

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota
• Board certified or board eligible in Radiology
• Completion of ACGME-accredited radiology residency training
• Completion of a neuroradiology fellowship is preferred
• Demonstrated ability in teaching and scholarly productivity

Areas of subspecialization can vary, but advanced imaging expertise (e.g., fMRI, ASL, DTI, MRP) is preferred. Other areas of subspecialization within neuroradiology include:

• Pediatrics
• Interventional
• Spine Therapy
• Head & Neck
• Neuro-Oncology

All faculty are provided workstations at their home, allowing remote work within Minnesota. Evening and weekend call are taken from home.

Accepting 2025 fellows and J-1 waiver candidates. 2028 J-1 waivers are available; candidates are encouraged to apply by July 1, 2027.

Pay

Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $396,000 - $476,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and clinical full-time equivalent (cFTE). The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
