The University of Minnesota Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery welcomes applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor on the academic or clinician track (as determined by qualification and interest) in laryngology.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency program.
- Completion of a Laryngology fellowship or equivalent.
- American Board of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery eligible/certified.
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
- Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States, if applicable.
- Commitment to outstanding patient care.
- Desire to work collaboratively with other specialties and colleagues.
- Enthusiasm for educating medical learners.
- Interest in enhancing the knowledge foundation of the specialty through regular engagement in relevant research and/or quality improvement.
- Professionalism and commitment to academic and subspecialty societies.
- Excellent problem-solving, self-motivation, and written and verbal communication skills.
About the Department
The University of Minnesota Department of Otolaryngology has been treating patients, conducting research, and educating the next generation of otolaryngologists for over 130 years. The department is home to more than 40 physicians providing the latest in patient care through the University of Minnesota Physicians – our clinical practice made up of more than 700 university doctors. Our physicians diagnose and treat a wide variety of ear, nose and throat problems. Most have special training and/or conduct research in an area of expertise. As members of the University of Minnesota Medical School community, our physicians regularly collaborate with colleagues in areas like pediatrics and oncology to provide the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options, as well as groundbreaking research opportunities.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Total base salary range is between $300,000-$500,000, with salary negotiable depending on factors such as prior experience or specific areas of expertise. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
