Adjunct Faculty
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work schedule is subject to change based on department needs.
- Professional certification and/or state license for area of expertise.
- Develop and Instruct HVAC/R Level 1 NCCER Curriculum.
- Provide instruction in Introduction to HVAC, Piping Fundamentals, Heating Systems, Air-conditioning and heat pump systems, Ductwork, Maintenance on common appliance parts such as traps and heat controls, thermodynamic cycles and servicing refrigerant accessories, measurement skills, basic math calculations and industry employability skills.
- Demonstrate Safety Awareness.
- Perform lecture and lab instruction virtually and in classroom based on NCCER curriculum.
- Evaluate student progress through examinations, quizzes, observations, and laboratory reports.
- Prepare assignments and test/quizzes in accordance with NCCER.
- Prepare students for and administer EPA608 exam.
- Submit required reports and forms to NCCER in a timely manner.
- Maintain appropriate instructional labs, equipment, and inventory.
- Possess thorough knowledge of HVAC/R principals, terminology, tools, and equipment related to the craft/trade.
- Communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
- As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
