Faculty, Non-Tenure Track, Lecturer - Electrical and Computer Engineering
Utah Valley University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track lecturer position beginning January 1, 2027.
About the role
The lecturer teaches undergraduate courses such as circuit theory, electronic systems lab, engineering analysis, and applied probability and statistics for engineers. The faculty member attends and participates in department meetings and may serve on department committees related to their area of expertise and teaching.

Responsibilities
- Teach students to understand and appreciate Electrical and Computer Engineering topics.
- Design laboratory courses and prepare laboratory instructional materials.
- Cultivate a student-centered learning environment and help students succeed.
- Assess teaching results and apply findings to improve courses, laboratories, curriculum, and teaching effectiveness.
- Coordinate and participate in recruitment activities for the Department.
- Instruct, manage, and supervise individuals and groups in classrooms, online, and laboratories using demonstration, discussion, visual aids, individualized instruction, lectures, and other appropriate methods.
- Plan, prepare, and follow an approved course of study with measurable objectives for each course taught.
- Prepare instructional materials and evaluate student performance using appropriate testing and grading procedures.
- Attend departmental meetings and serve on department committees related to area of expertise and teaching.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, applied research, mentoring, and course development.
- Practical experience in electrical engineering and computer engineering areas.
