Faculty Leadership Position, Patient Research Center

About the role

The Virginia Tech (VT) is seeking a physician-scientist leader to join its new Patient Research Center (PRC) at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC (FBRI). This position is a tenured faculty leadership role at the full professor level.

Responsibilities

• Carry out leading-edge clinical research
• Lead the Patient Research Center (PRC)
• Identify and recruit additional faculty to the PRC
• Work closely with clinical partners at Carilion Clinic and the VTC School of Medicine

Requirements

• Earned M.D. and Ph.D. degrees
• Completed clinical residency/fellowship in an appropriate sub-specialty
• Extramurally funded research program focusing on human patient-based clinical research in ambulatory, in-patient, and/or remote tele-health settings

Qualifications

• Significant accomplishment of research innovation and productivity through high-quality publications and extramural funding

Skills

• Leadership in clinical and translational research
