FACULTY ANESTHESIOLOGIST - OPEN TRACK

Responsibilities

• Participating in team-based anesthesia care and personally providing anesthesia care.
• Serving as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating for effective patient outcomes.
• Active participation in the academic activities of the Department and College of Medicine.
• Supervising students, residents, fellows, SRNA’s and non-anesthesia rotators.
• Providing developmental feedback to those under supervision, verbally and in writing.
• Preparing educational materials, leading and/or attending academic lectures and professional development events.

Requirements

• Candidates must show successful completion of an approved residency program in anesthesiology.
• Candidates must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
• Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa.
• Candidates must be board-certified in Anesthesiology (or non-US Board equivalent) or be in the certification process (pending completion of residency or fellowship).
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
