About the role
The next generation of American manufacturing is being built right now. Nox Metals is the supply chain behind it. We need a Factory Technician on weekend shift to keep the floor running while the rest of the country is off.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems
- Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to spec
- Run forklifts and overhead cranes
- Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision
- Take a clean handoff from the weekday team and leave the floor ready for Monday
- Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders
- Pack, label, and stage outbound shipments
- Record cut data and job completions in our software systems, accurately, every time
- Avoid making assumptions, always ask questions when something is unclear
- Think about ways to improve processes and challenge traditional methods
- Ensure the floor is clean, organized, and ready for the next job
- Work safely every shift and hold your teammates to the same standard
Requirements
- Knowledgeable or experienced in a factory, metals service center, bandsaws, industrial saws, CNC equipment, or skilled trades
- Committed to safety, follows every protocol, wears PPE, and does not cut corners that put people at risk
- High attention to quality, precise under pressure, and accurate record keeping
- Always looking for ways to improve processes and challenge traditional methods
- Customer obsessed, delivery timelines matter because customers are counting on them
- A team player with a good attitude, makes the shift better for everyone around you
- Self-directed, can run the floor with a smaller team and keep production moving
- Comfortable with digital tracking and using AI tools to work faster and smarter
Qualifications
- Full-time position, in-person in Detroit
- Experience in metals, aluminum, or aerospace/defense supply chains
- Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
- Background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
