About the role

Raytheon's team in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Quality Engineer to support a fast-paced, multi-value stream factory.

Responsibilities

  • Verify product and process compliance with contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies
  • Develop strong working relationships with touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and DCMA
  • Support manufacturing efforts requiring operation in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Interface with DCMA and internal stakeholders to manage issues
  • Participate in weekly meetings to reduce cost of poor quality and facilitate timely red rack dispositions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Assembly, Inspection and/or Test manufacturing process experience
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) clearance prior to the start date
  • The ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications

  • Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams in auditing process and product/process improvements in the factory or at suppliers
  • Experience in Product/Process Failure Modes & Affects Analysis, Regression Analysis
  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements
  • Experience with AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • High computer proficiency, including skills working with Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
  • ASQ Certifications preferred
