Factory Operative / Sheet Metal Worker

About the role

Are you looking for a hands-on role within manufacturing? Our client is a well-established ductwork manufacturer looking for a reliable and motivated Factory Operative to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a factory, manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or sheet metal environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and assembling sheet metal products
• Using a variety of hand and power tools
• Reading and working from technical drawings
• Grinding, finishing and preparing metal components
• Measuring materials accurately
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Assisting with other factory duties as required

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing or production
• Experience in sheet metal or fabrication
• Experience in engineering or assembly
• Machine operating experience
• Using hand and power tools
• Reading technical drawings (advantageous but not essential)

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
