About the role
The Teradyne Factory Applications group is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and self-driven engineer to join our Digital and Software products team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company to develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions.
Responsibilities
- Leading member of product development teams with engineering, representing the broad user base – defining use cases and requirements, and performing post-implementation validation.
- Ensuring we are implementing the right things to meet market expectations with competitive solutions.
- Participating in key design-ins as a consultant, ensuring technical success.
- Providing guidance to field applications and direct customers in developing successful test solutions.
- Developing and delivering technical marketing presentations with clear and effective messaging.
- Co-developing user documentation and training for new products and features.
- Continuously developing deep expert knowledge of products and use models.
- Continuously developing knowledge of semiconductor test requirements and trends.
- Building strong relationships with worldwide account teams and key customers.
- Developing knowledge and expertise on semiconductor device testing.
- Developing knowledge and expertise on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) - specifically the UltraFLEX family of Teradyne testers - with a focus on our Digital, Serial, DC, and Software product areas.
- Supporting customers on tester operation and capability.
Requirements
- Bachelor or higher degree in EE, or CE.
- 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor field.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (digital logic, digital communications and transmission, signal processing, power delivery a plus).
- Proficient with general software programming (preferred .NET – C#, VB) and common algorithms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively within a team and independently – planning, execution, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills – a commitment to teamwork and “can-do” spirit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to develop and deliver clear and effective presentations on complex topics.
- Can work under high pressure with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Basic knowledge about semiconductor device design, manufacturing, and/or testing is a plus.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $126,800 to $202,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
