Factory Applications Engineer- Software (Integrated System Test; North Reading, MA)
Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Software Factory Applications Engineer to contribute to a variety of machine design and product development initiatives for our next generation System Level Test and Storage platforms. The ideal candidate will translate technical insights (to medium-to-high complexity engineering problems) from customers' engagements into innovative, scalable technical solutions with the Factory Engineering Team. Additionally, this candidate will work across functional boundaries to identify essential requirements, tradeoffs, and key technical risks while working with product development teams from conceptualization through detailed design implementation and transfer to high-volume manufacturing.
All About You
- Bachelor’s degree or higher is required in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; Masters is preferred
- Preferably 10-15 yrs experience in System level Test program development, firmware development, automation, or software engineering
- Experience with embedded systems and SoC-level testing concepts
- Experience in Teradyne Test systems is preferred
- Integrate with the HW test Platform Development team to develop and enable mission-mode test strategies based on Customer requirements
- Programming experience is required; C++ experience is a strong plus
- Strong object-oriented design skills and experience designing reusable libraries/APIs
- Hands-on experience improving code quality through unit testing, refactoring, and automation
- Ability to travel as required, approximate 20% - 30%
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $126,800 to 248,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
