Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of warehouse-related equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, batteries, etc). This keeps day and night warehouse operations functional to ensure efficient shipping and receiving of product.

Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM start

Responsibilities
- Perform industrial and building maintenance duties (basic plumbing, refrigeration systems, electrical, running wire/data cables, repair dock doors/plates, basic welding, basic carpentry, painting, storage rack repairs, drywall)
- Review equipment reports submitted by warehouse associates, record actions/repairs taken, and maintain a repair log per USF policy
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on equipment and maintain PM log with proper documentation per USF policy
- Comply with all USF and government safety guidelines when working on equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, required documentation, safe work environment)
- Responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area
Relationships
- Internal: Warehouse personnel and supervisory staff, Operations support, Maintenance and Sanitation personnel
- External: Outside vendors
Requirements
- A minimum of six months previous building maintenance experience
- Knowledge of building maintenance, electrical systems, basic plumbing, welding, and carpentry
- Able to read and write legibly
- Able to follow orders
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Able to work with little direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Equipment repair and operation experience
- Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment
