FACILITY SUPPORT WORKER
About the role
As part of the Facility Support team, the Facility Support Worker is responsible for facility-wide janitorial and sanitation duties that ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs daily and periodic housekeeping and sanitation tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows and walls, cleaning restrooms, equipment polishing, and maintaining entrances, lobbies, and other public areas
- Supports Sierra Nevada’s Hop Forward sustainability program by managing waste streams—collecting, sorting, and baling recyclables and compost, and coordinating waste hauling activities
- Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor spaces including walkways, patios, loading areas, and external walls through power washing, debris removal, and seasonal cleaning projects
- Operates industrial equipment (forklifts, articulating booms, scissor lifts, etc.), specialty cleaning equipment (pressure washers, floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, etc.), and safely uses janitorial and sanitation chemicals
- Identifies and documents facilities maintenance needs and performs minor repairs or preventive maintenance on cleaning tools and equipment
- Follows all safety, environmental, and quality protocols, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Responds to immediate cleaning or support needs across the brewery and restaurants, maintaining organized workflows and clear communication with team members
- Provides courteous assistance to guests by answering questions and offering directions as needed
Qualifications
- 1 year previous experience in industrial cleaning or manufacturing preferred
- Basic math and literacy skills
- Basic computer skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to become certified and operate forklift, scissor-lift and articulating boom (training provided)
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a member of a high-functioning team
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices and product specifications to maintain product quality
- Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (S.D.S.) and label instructions
- Ability to use furniture moving equipment such as a dolly or cart
- Ability to safely operate powered equipment such as a shop vacuum, floor buffer, carpet extractor, high pressure water systems and a variety of hand tools after training

Schedule
3rd shift (10pm-6:30am) Sun-Thur plus 15% shift differential
