Facility Specialist

About the role

You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all the child development centers, maintaining at all times a safe and aesthetic environment indoors and outdoors. You will use a work order system to ensure the timeliness and prioritization of all facility needs. All of your activities and interactions will be in conformance with all federal, state, and local regulations, standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.

This position is non-exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is subject to the Agency’s policies and procedures pertaining to overtime hours and premium pay.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within the area of building maintenance and grounds care
• First Aid/CPR Certified or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of employment
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred
• TB test or Chest X-ray
• NM ECECD Background Clearance
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the company’s motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, insurance eligibility, and all state and federal driving requirements
• Ongoing employment contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record
