FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST.
About the role
You will conduct daily and scheduled facility inspections of nine buildings assigned to SLC, GT.
You will initiate requests for minor, new construction or repairs.
You will identify and document deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
You will provide support to ensure facilities are adequately maintained.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- May require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
- Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
Qualifications
- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrating comprehensive facilities management expertise, the ability to operate under general supervisory direction, and the capability to manage complex maintenance, repair, and inspection operations while holding or obtaining required security and professional clearances;
- Applying practical knowledge of construction techniques, facility systems, and space utilization policies;
- Reading and interpreting engineering/architectural plans and drawings, with knowledge of policies and technical requirements for the maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property;
- Performing the ability to analyze statistics, identify operational trends, and recommend corrective actions;
- Preparing program reports, staff studies, and briefings for senior leadership.

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in a field related to the position.
- Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a major study in a field related to the position.
- An LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
