About the role
Facilities at Farmingdale State College seeks to fill a Facility Operations Assistant 1 vacancy in the Heating Plant.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort.
- Assist in maintaining, constructing, and repairing buildings, roads, other structures and grounds.
- Will be required to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- May use hand tools or operate motor driven equipment.
- Loads and unloads heavy equipment, supplies, and furniture from trucks by physically lifting items or operating a hand truck or forklift.
- Moves heavy supplies, furniture, and equipment.
- Generally performs work duties as part of a work crew.
Requirements
- No education or experience qualifications required.
- Must be physically able to perform the duties assigned.
- Possession of a clear and valid NYS driver's license is required.
