About the role

The Facility Operations Center (FOC) is the Command Center of AWS Data Centers. Our team remotely monitors Data Center power and cooling infrastructure globally, supporting onsite operations teams and initiating immediate event response.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote monitoring of Data Center infrastructure
• Support onsite operations teams by analyzing and addressing issues in real-time
• Initiate and manage immediate event responses to ensure facility safety and operational continuity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve facility efficiency and reliability

Requirements

• Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in relevant work
• Can bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working
• Can use hands to manipulate small wires and objects
• Can walk on job sites in uneven terrain
• Can work at heights and from ladders
• 4+ years of data center engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in data center engineering
• Ability to work 10 hour shifts as needed

Pay

Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Our schedule is flexible and can include rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
