Facility Manager/Planner

About the role

The Facility Manager 2nd shift at CGI Federal's Tucson Passport Book Print facility is responsible for overseeing the support tasks and equipment necessary for all operations, maintenance, and repair of environmental support systems, building appearance, and exterior grounds. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Processing experience is preferred due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee support tasks and equipment necessary for all operations, maintenance, and repair of environmental support systems, building appearance, and exterior grounds.
• Ensure qualified and licensed technicians are available to support facility environmental systems operation as needed.
• Manage various general building maintenance (preventative and corrective) functions in a variety of skilled and semi-skilled craft trades to support mechanical and electrical heating, ventilating, HVAC Systems, and plumbing.
• Interpret and execute instructions using technical orders, operator manuals, building diagrams, and other plans and instructions to perform required work.
• Plan, execute, and complete facility installations, modifications, and repairs.
• Perform miscellaneous functions such as assembling and disassembling systems, furniture, removing and installing signs and picture frames, assisting in relocating furniture and computers, and performing other similar duties.
• Maintain equipment and systems to peak performance levels.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and safety records for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems.
• Provide rotational 24-hour support for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs including emergency callback service call response and other corrective actions deemed necessary by the Operation's Manager.
• Adhere to all Department of State Facility Safety and Security regulations.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management including the client (US Government Personnel).
• Coordinate all repairs/modifications and visitors with the Facility Manager - 1st shift.
• Update facility repair/improvement repairs logs and other documentation as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent certifications in trades crafts and a minimum of three years of practical working experience with the craft trades supporting the mechanical and electrical; heating, ventilating, air-conditioning machinery, and plumbing OR minimum of 5 years of directly related practical working experience (facility maintenance role) in lieu of education/certification requirements.
• Moderate skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to prepare technical and personal reports, reviews, and documentation for internal and external use.
• Ability to interpret As-Builds.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC closed loop systems and programs to support them.
• 10 Hr OSHA Construction Certification.
• Certified forklift operator/trainer.
• 30 Hr OSHA Construction Certification.
• Practical experience using As-builds for facility related modifications.
• Experienced working for the US/Local Government/Military contracts.
• Practical experience in plumbing and/or other related certifications.
