Facility Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing various facilities and equipment at MIT.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC systems
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls
• Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of related experience in facility maintenance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems
• Knowledge of electrical systems
• Proficiency in plumbing

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
