Facility Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the physical plant at Residences of North Ridge in New Hope, MN. This position is part of the Mission Health Communities Health Care Facilities, which owns and operates 50+ facilities throughout the country.

Responsibilities

• Conducts a variety of preventative and restorative maintenance duties.
• Follows established Federal, State, County and City codes and regulations.
• Manages the preventative and restorative maintenance including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repair.
• Repairs wheelchairs, beds, light fixtures, and other assigned area equipment.
• Paints, patches drywall, replaces ceiling and floor tiles, and performs minor electrical repairs.
• Reports and records information pertaining to preventative maintenance.
• Maintains the Life Safety Binder and Emergency Plan, conducts fire and disaster drills, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs, general contracting knowledge, and maintenance procedures.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Knowledge of operating a computer and effective communication skills.

• Requires the ability to exercise confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.

Skills

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• General contracting knowledge.
• General maintenance procedures.

Pay

Hourly range is $20-$25.00 based on experience.

Schedule

Full time, 8am-4:30pm with oncall rotation.
