Position Details

  • Position Status: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Day Shift/On Call or as assigned by manager
  • Location: Mt. Iron, Minnesota
  • Supervision Received: Maintenance Manager
  • Supervision Exercised: N/A

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the building's equipment is maintained properly and is working correctly
  • Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual as needed
  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (e.g., repairing drywall, painting, doors, and other building fixtures)
  • Perform routine maintenance on building systems
  • Clean and assist with the upkeep of the facilities, including but not limited to restocking bathrooms and breakrooms
  • General landscaping and snow removal as needed
  • Perform basic PMs on Facility Equipment including air compressor, RTUs, and dock doors
  • Update PMs in CMMS database to reflect accurate parts usage and labor
  • Document and log repairs and materials used for repairs and maintenance
  • Support the development of relevant SOPs as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or other delegates

Qualifications

  • One to two years of vocational or community college in technical field with related course work or building maintenance or equivalent related experience is required
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Ability to safely operate equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
  • Comfortable working at heights while using scissor lifts and boom lifts
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or managers
  • Ability to read and interpret basic schematics
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • General knowledge of plumbing and electrical
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must complete record check and drug screening prior to employment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and traverse the production floor and warehouse
  • Must be able to climb stairs
  • Must be able to team lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to tolerate a warehouse and production environment

Compensation

  • Salary: $25.20 - $29.50 /hr
  • Benefits: comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision (100% employer paid for employees and 50% co-pay for spouse/dependents), life insurance, paid time off and retirement plans (401K)
  • Day shift/on call or as assigned by manager
