Facility Maintenance Mechanic (New Stanton, PA)

Purpose

Responsible for the prompt minor repairs and ongoing preventative maintenance of material handling equipment.

Job Requirements

• Education/Certifications/Equivalent Combination of Education Training and Experience: High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
• Experience: 1-2 years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment Machining and fabrication experience helpful

Job Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment
• Efficiently prioritize repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule
• Troubleshoot equipment problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
• Provide improvements required to ensure compliance to safety regulations to DC and safety team
• Ensure that department is appropriately stocked with part and tools needed to perform their job
• Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc, on equipment for preventive maintenance purposes
• Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs
• Modifies and tests equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability
• Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs
• Follows all safety policies and procedures strictly
