Facility Maintenance Mechanic (New Stanton, PA)
Purpose
Responsible for the prompt minor repairs and ongoing preventative maintenance of material handling equipment.
Job Requirements
- Education/Certifications/Equivalent Combination of Education Training and Experience: High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
- Experience: 1-2 years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment Machining and fabrication experience helpful
Job Responsibilities
- Provide recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment
- Efficiently prioritize repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule
- Troubleshoot equipment problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
- Provide improvements required to ensure compliance to safety regulations to DC and safety team
- Ensure that department is appropriately stocked with part and tools needed to perform their job
- Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc, on equipment for preventive maintenance purposes
- Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs
- Modifies and tests equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability
- Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs
- Follows all safety policies and procedures strictly
