Facility Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project planning and procedures for the facility
  • Aid in the development of short- and long-term goals and strategies for the facility
  • Maintain professional relations with vendors, suppliers, outside contractors, and government officials
  • Ensure the facility is maintained at a high level, perform snow removal in a timely manner when needed, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards
  • Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned
  • Manage and oversee the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of facility maintenance functions
  • Initiate and negotiate bids with contractors
  • Monitor and supervise production quality
  • Oversee inspection and testing of projects and identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively
  • Regulate workflow to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Monitor utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel
  • Monitor all engineering operations for compliance with established safety policies and regulations
  • Train, advise, and counsel employees and provide suggestions to improve performance and productivity
  • Conduct performance appraisals as assigned
  • Maintain effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with Company personnel and management
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain schedules and implement changes and revisions in operational procedures
  • Call for maintenance on vending machines and miscellaneous equipment
  • Assist in OSHA reviews as requested

Requirements

  • Knowledge of related computer applications
  • Excellent understanding of facility management procedures
  • Knowledge of budgeting, service contracts, and leasing agreements
  • Experience managing a million sq ft facility (grocery, multiple temp preferred)
  • Strong MHE fleet, battery, PM, parts Project and Vendor management, tracking and vetting
  • Union experiences preferred
  • Strong team building, cross training and leadership
  • Deep regulatory experience, OSHA, permits, SQF, (FM Global a plus)
  • Experience with refrigeration, working knowledge of NH3, understanding of equipment operation and how it works together for temp control, at least 1 operator, Hazwhopper and PSM
  • Three to five years of related experience preferred
