Facility Float Pool LPN (FT, Nights)

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Facility Float Pool LPN
Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week
Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00pm - 7:30am)
Up to $2,000 Sign-On Bonus - No Contract Required

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision
• Maintain professional accountability for patient care
• Coordinate patient care with other departments
• Uphold patient rights and confidentiality
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy’s mission and values

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current Missouri LPN license (must meet all MO State Board of Nursing requirements)
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in acute care, with at least six months within the last year
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire)
• LPN-IV Certification (must be completed within 3 months of hire for Missouri LPNs)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
