About the role
LEGENDS GLOBAL, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking a Facility Engineer for LEGENDS Global Stockton in Stockton, CA. The role is responsible for maintaining all facility equipment, ensuring its proper and efficient operation, and overseeing general facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment failures; diagnose root cause and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain environmental controls, emergency power, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
- Oversee preventative maintenance of all Stockton Complex sites.
- Repair, rebuild or replace various items such as electric motors, combustion engines, compressors, HVAC units, and pumps, etc.
- Operate auxiliary supply systems when necessary, including generators, battery backup systems, automatic transfer switches, fire pumps, etc.
- Conduct routine rounds to inspect mechanical rooms, rooftops, and common areas; identify hazards and service needs.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) inspections and complete work orders using company systems such as Altum; document findings, parts used, and labor hours.
- Respond to urgent maintenance calls and alarms; participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
- Facilitate compliance with Cal OSHA, NFPA and all other applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide technical support, oversee and/or assist with repairs and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors (HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety, elevators, janitorial); verify scope completion and quality.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.
- Maintain inventory of critical spares and tools; recommend replacements and improvements.
Qualifications
- Associates, Trade Licensed (like HVAC tech, or Electrical license), OR 5+ years of experience in facilities, building engineering, or commercial/industrial maintenance.
- Specific licensing in the trades (plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
- Cal OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training; familiarity with NFPA and local code requirements.

- Ability to work irregular / extended hours, including night and weekend duties is required.
- Computer Skills: Operating BMS / other automated systems; working knowledge of normal business applications such as Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Adobe, et cetera.
Physical Demands
- Heavy lifting, climbing, carrying, stooping, crawling and equipment operation.
- Work both indoors and outdoors and subject to adverse conditions.
Compensation
The hourly range for this position is $35/hour - $42/hour depending on experience.
